With this CD rack, we don't see four separate CDs, but we see two groups of two CDs.

Rules of Perceptual Organization- Similarity

Similarity

When we group objects or things that are similar to each together into a group.

With the law of similarity, we group the yellow cans of soda together, and as a result, we see a goal post. Also due to this law, we group the purple cans and see that it forms the words "Go Ravens".

Rules of Perceptual Organization- Continuity

Continuity

When we perceive patterns, we tend to perceive continuous patterns rather than discontinuous ones.

With these geese flying, we see a continuous V formation instead of two lines that are discontinuous.

Rules of Perceptual Organization- Closure

Closure

When we fill in the gaps to create a complete whole object or thing. This also applies to patterns and words in sentences.
